President
Kris Hitesman
Kris is the third generation to work in the roofing industry and took over the leadership of Capitol Roofing Service from founder, Brent Zimmerman in 2012. Her vision is to continue to deliver consistent, quality work to its many customer partners. Kris’s business education, extensive roofing knowledge, and leadership skills have guided the company in becoming a trusted name in the Western region of the US.
As a seasoned professional, Kris brings a wealth of expertise and a commitment to innovation. She is a member of various roofing associations including National Roofing Contractors Association, National Women in Roofing, Utah Safety Council, and Utah Roofing Contractors Association, among others. Kris currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Western States Roofing Contractors Association.
Vice President of Sales
Paul Hitesman
Paul has worked in the roofing industry for nearly 40 years and has been with Capitol Roofing since 1986. His vast experience includes working as a Journeyman, Foreman, General Superintendent, and Estimator. As the vice president of sales, he oversees the estimating department and works closely with the vice president of operations to ensure each project is on schedule, within budget, and done with the highest quality supplies available.
Vice President of Operations
Randle T. Mellenthin
Randy has worked for Capitol Roofing for 26 years and his experience includes numerous positions within the company from Journeyman and Foreman to Superintendent. As a certified safety trainer, he has also been the safety coordinator for the last ten years. As vice president of operations, he oversees the successful execution of roofing projects from start to finish. Randy works closely with the vice president of sales to ensure each project is done one time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Estimator
James Fiscus
James has worked in the roofing industry for over 25 years fulfilling many duties ranging from installer, project manager, to estimator and even business owner. He has been an estimator with Capitol Roofing since 2014. James works directly with Paul, suppliers, and general contractors to ensure our clients benefit from the most innovative and cost-efficient roofing solutions available.
foremans & Supervisors
Our team of foreman and supervisors possess extensive hands-on experience ranging from six to 23 years in commercial roofing. Their exceptional skills and in-depth knowledge of roofing systems have been learned through continuing education. Committed to safety and quality, they oversee jobs from 5,000 to 600,000 square feet. Our foremen, supervisors, and their teams take great pride in delivering superior craftsmanship and ensuring that every roofing installation or repair meets our rigorous standards.
